motorbike in RAF trim

How about this then for all the military vehicle nuts. Liked it when I first saw it. Dont know how original it is but dare say it looks good anyhow.

I’ve not heard of that type before. Anybody know where & how it would have been used in service ?

James Comets (how inappropriate a name!) were in production from 19489 through to about 1960.

Yes I recall something similar different sections on RAF stations that were somewhat remote from other sections had these bikes and could be used by those that were authorised to use them. Often Officers/NCO’s i/c sections would use them. They were in use at least to 1964 the last I saw one at RAF El Adem, Libya, the options were Camels or Shanks’ Pony :p
