MSOV and JSOW

Which came first? The IMI MSOV or JSOW? Is JSOW a joint Israli US project????? I can be late to the party, just don’t call me late for dinner. I just discovered these things look the same. Anyone know the full story behind all this? Thanks.

MSOV is just a dispenser glidebomb based on the TALD decoy, similar to the AFDS/BK-90.
AGM-154 (JSOW) is a modular weapon system.

JSOW was started first (1986), but MSOV reached IOC first (1998).

I don’t think they’re the same weapon. The shape is superficially similar (JSOW’s is more complex though, more facets and tail surfaces) and both are intended to perform the same role but IMHO they’re competing designs rather than a cooperative project.

JSOW was probably first, I’d say.
