This past Saturday saw me visit Munich for the day. I only managed about an hour or so at the airport as I spent most of the day in the city itself.
Munich offers a good overview of the airport from a hill/mound just out side the grounds… it costs 1 euro to go up there for as long as you like. There are also an old LH Constellation, Swiss Air DC-3 and LH Junkers JU-52 on site too – these can viewed inside at an extra charge. The traffic at Munich is as expected wall to wall Lufthansa and Air Berlin, but at the same time there is a mix of other bits to break up the trend. I had been lucky enough to see the Tui Haribo special 737, but sadly it came no where near to where I was for a decent shot – typical!
Headed out from Gatwick on board Aer Lingus – great value for money at onlt £9.99 each way (booked back in March). Aer Lingus have come along way since I flew them a few years ago to Dublin… a much better service offered and the aircraft are immacualte both inside and out.
On with the shots anyhow… so Enjoy!
A few from LGW first off…

Inflight…

And finally the shots from MUC.

Sadly this didn’t move.

This one seemed to follow me around today, having already seen it at LGW in the morning.

Nice photos!
If that Thai 737 is still following you, could you please take a short trip to EIN? I think if you can guarantee that 737 to come the local spotters community might even chip in to pay your fare. 😀
