Museum(s) in the UK that feature a complete wellington bomber?

The Brooklands ‘walkthrough’ was fixed on the wall of the old Bellman hangar. It used structure unusable from the recovered aircraft.
I understand there is similar exhibit in the newly opened halls there.

Didnt Brooklands have a ‘walk through’ fuselage – no idea if it was a mock up or contained original parts etc?

Assume the Cosford Wellington is still in the Conservation Centre. It should be viewable this week as it just so happens that this is the Conservation Centre Open Week, 13th to 18th November.

The Wellington tail section from Merton In Marsh was SFAIK relocated to the Stratford Armouries near Snitterfield. There were reports that the Armouries disposed of some items (relating to eras other than the World Wars) in order to remain viable and to focus on certain periods of history (including WWII). Their original website seems defunct so don’t know if the collections are still accessible for public view.

And I believe theres a chunk of fuselage at Brooklands as well as the complete one. Probably enough bits around to cobble another static display one if the will and cash was there.

There are only two complete Wellingtons at present.

The RAF Museum have one. It was on display in Hendon for years, but has recently been transported to their conservation site at RAF Cosford, where it is undergoing restoration work.

The second complete Wellington is at Brooklands Museum. This one was raised from the bottom of Loch Ness in the 80’s, and restored.

There are also two identifiable substantial wrecks of Wellingtons. One, L7775 is mostly at East Kirby, where its complete wing is on display, with its tail section at Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire. The other, Z1206 consists of the forward fuselage with the Midland Aircraft Recovery Group in Warwickshire.

Got a funny feeling the tail section is no longer at Moreton-In-Marsh cluld be wrong though!
