Musical travesties

Rick Astley is currently murdering the Don McLean classic, Vincent.
Are there any others from the musical ‘grave’ that you wished should have stayed dead and buried? Are there any that you hope never regain the oxygen of publicity again?

“Those bloody imbecilic morons The Sex Pistols destroying a classic……. My Way “

“It wasn’t the Sex Pistols, it was a solo Sid Vicious. Actually, I quite liked his version.”

AND, Mr Rowell, the writer is quoted as saying that that was by far the best cversion he had heard and it was his favourite.

Sorry, I forgot I’m not posting here. Bye.

Don’t you mean, EVERYthing by Madonna???

I quite liked ‘Ray of Light’ and ‘Beautiful Stranger’ but everything else was crap. Something I say at various times on a Madonna message board I go to when I want a laugh. :dev2: :diablo:

Robbie Williams covered We Are The Champions. Idiot. What went on in his mind then I will never know. I suppose he had some sort of mental fit.

I don’t know what people see in that moron!!!!

Not strictly in the true sense of the thread, but theres one ‘song’ which i wish had never even been born, let alone risen from the grave – Crazy Frog – can’t stand this assault on my ears, haven’t heard it for a looong time though thank god

See? I DID say all idiots go away in time.. 😉

A recent search I made turned up five other versions of Is She Really Going Out With Him, not including one misidentified as being by Elvis Costello, and none of them were a patch on the original by Joe Jackson – except the remarkably similar one noted as being by…Elvis Costello. (For the record: Kid Courageous; Fenix TX; Goldfinger; Sugar Ray; and Slipperman)

50 Cent…. Please someone, just get rid of him!!!!

The guy’s been shot like 9 times already. Someone try stabbing him.

I quite like his stuff anyway so..

Who I wish never sang.. hmm… very hard one. People who sing geeky songs that everyone at college listens to. So unbelievably sad.

The worse at the moment has to be Will Young doing Top Gun! I mean come on……

The only place Will Young should be when close to a jet plane is behind the exhaust!

I howled with rage when I heard the Scissor Sisters’ cover of Comfortably Numb! I like the rest of their stuff, but that was a step too far IMHO. Talking of Steps, another example of style over substance, much like the England prima donnas, sorry – I meant football team.

yikes i was enraged beyond control when i heard that cover. Being a guitarist and a big fan of Floyd myself i would say launch a space rocket to the moon with full of human **** and Scissor Sisters in the middle. 😡 😡

And Oops I Did It Again by CoB is brilliant..i saw them live recently. They even mailed Spears a copy too. :diablo:

Whoever can get rid of Green Day shall be worshipped by me.

I know this is for bad covers, but you have to listen to Children of Bodom’s cover of ‘oops i did it again’ by Britney Spears. Brilliant m/
