So, the only way to deport these sorts is to vote for a party that will do such.
Unfortunately, the only such party that “Dare” even say it are the Nazi types, and that would be too far.

I had heard that some protesters of the original “protesters” (Muslims against the army)got locked up thought for some reason, is there any truth behind this?

I mean, as jonsey say, free speech is exactly what it is…..unless these anti-protestor protestors physically harmed one of the originators, whats the problem? I would love to hear from my English cousins, I might be a redneck, but i still hold Great Britain in high reguard when it comes to international relations.

Two things particularly struck me about this incident.

First, I had no idea that there was such a strength of feeling in our country. To hear such vehment allegations claiming that our troops were involved in atrocities shocked me. Yes, very much a minority view but powerful enough to provoke demonstrations. That needs addressing – but how?

Second, I fear for the backlash. Kev is right, the majority of Muslims are, like you and me, living quiet, respectable lives but extremists who will condemn this demonstration will lash out at at easy targets. I so want to be wrong but I feel this small group has done a lot of damage to the relationships between parts of our community in the UK.

I don’t think they’ve just exposed them selves i think they were tagged a long time ago,as for their protests that’s allowed in this free country, something that the anglians were fighting for in Afghanistan.

Jonesy has it right. They have just exposed themselves as, at the very least, sympathisers of the Islamic Fundamentalist movement and if our Intelligence Services do their job they will be investigated and monitored if necessary, maybe even infiltrated.

While it is an unsettling sight to see such a demonstration, it can be taken out of all proportion. It’s not the few who are out there waving placards and shouting abuse that need stopping. It is those who live quiet and respectable lives within our Communities and one day, instead of going to work or to college, strap a rucksack full of explosives to their backs with the intention of destroying themselves and as many others as they possibly can.

Im all for free speech but its verging on racism, weather your for war or not you cant condem the soldiers, they have a job to do like it or lump it and we all have to support tham as a county and a nation.

Quite the reverse – let them come along, let them shout, let them wave their banners….let the Security Service see who they are. Lets find out who they associate with and where they go.

This is still a free and open society. They have a right to protest and voice their opinions. We have a duty to protect our society and the general populace, Muslims included, this way both aims are satisfied simultaneously!.

As ever the noisy minority try to claim they are representing the views of the majority of British Muslims- it simply isn’t true IMHO. Reporting their presence/protest in such detail simply gives them the publicity they seek to futher their cause, and might even lead to wider gulf of mistrust between various resident “populations” in the area Let them protest but don’t report it!

As has been said, they have every right to protest, however much we may abhor their views. They seem to conveniently forget that thats one of the very reasons the British armed forces are still in the Middle East, to try to ensure that the local population have a similar right to free-speech out there too, and do not become subject to the will of an oppressive and oft brutal regime.

If we want their protests here to be banned we are at risk of starting on the slippery slope towards finding ourselves suffering under our own “police state”!

I think it is noteworthy that in an ethnically diverse town with a population of over 200,000 the organisers managed to muster ten, or possibly eleven, placard-waving demonstrators.

Absolutely nothing needs to be said or done about this demonstration…..well, exercise…..of free speech.
