Must do it

Im off flying tommorow and as Friday is today im really wanting to get some solo hours in, I have been let down three hours by bad weather, im just about to eat my hat! I keep saying I must get up on my own but I just go with what the instructor says, tommorows weather should be like todays in the midlands so it should be just fine, I am also taking a skydive tandem jump this month, what do you think?

I still cant get this photo job in getting the pictures I want in an out of this site, this isssue of todays pilot looks quite fun and intresting, I must get a copy tommorow, I like the look of the news pilot job artcle in London.

To more pressing matters the CAA are looking at fining those who run out of fuel in mid flight and with the chance of a suspension, did you know your fuel guage can be upto 30% lower than indicated on a standard light aircraft?

So back to this skydive, has any person done one and what is it like, is it somwething you would take up?
The idea of freefalling from FL120 and opening at FL50 sounds like good fun to me with 40seconds free-fall!

The navagaton is going o.k but the but I it’s most difficult is determining how to get back from your missed track onto track, this is all from the c.d and book, I don’t really have any practical experiance of navagation yet.

Well I here a bottle of wine and a chinease take away calling. :p

Today I went and the weather was no good for solo but it was o.k for duel, so I went home, its time to stop this duel time and get solo time im back next week.

And what really f**** me off is that as I left the sun came out and it was getting good for solo flying, but typical no bloody spaces left.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ah! There’s the difference between us Deano.

If I’d been so stupid as to run out of fuel I think I’d rather not survive the subsequent landing (Unless I could do it so subtly that no-one noticed).

The flak I’d get from my flying chums would make life unbearable 😉

hell no, its fuel planning and monitoring all the way for me, its nice to know I have a contingency plus extra on board at all times, and as its no-ones intention to run out of fuel, if it happens then like u say Moggy the CAA fines would be the last thing on my mind, first and foremost surviving the landing would be my main concern 🙂

I think most of us would be more concerned about embarassment and possible damage to people and aircraft than any fine the CAA might levy afterwards.

Surely nobody relies on their fuel guages, do they?
