Must see photo…

This photo is of the DHL missile incident in Baghdad International Airport a while back. It shows the aircraft trying to grind to a halt after just making in back to runway 33L. It is very good knowing that nobody was hurt…

Yes if it surprised airbus that is erm well a miracle. Or maybe did he let the ILS and autoland take her!!

(Always scary when on autoland as if the plane doesnt flare near the end not gonna be good)

The first shot is excellent. Like you say, good that nobody was injured or worse still.. killed. 🙂

CAN WE GET BACK TO THE TOPIC!
Well I just saw on TV that Airbus themselves were suprised that the BELGIAN pilot (despite the elsewhere registered plane) managed the aircraft down in one piece. True, the least accidents->Belgium. Very safe maintenance->Belgium.
Comet’s sentence at the end of a post by him is true… Be flown by the belgians.
I don’t want to show off here… Just… Wel It’s Interesting, no?

They better avoid any underpasses and tunnels!

What? That piece is huge! And that’s only 1/4-1/3 of the total fuselage, maybe? That bird is going to be beyond massive.

Are they going to have to modify the upper bubble portion of the Beluga in order to accomodate those fuselage pieces? Or perhaps they will lease the An-225 and strap them to the top of the fuselage?

Ohyeah, You’re hands are probably really shaking if you are driving trough this sort of ground; the gears cpuld collapse and then you are in big trouble; engine hits the ground and BOOOOM.

Did you expect any bigger? You can stand straight on both floors and there is plenty of cargo and luggage room. Good space usage.

Scary, but a massive well done to the pilots. A great show of profession, just like with the Austrian Airlines F100 a little while back.
