In Robert Gruenhagen’s book on the P-51 development (page 131) there is a picture of (Merlin engined) Mustang III FX953 showing a 3-bladed prop test installation. This aircraft spent its entire life with A&AEE.
I am wondering whether anyone out there has more photograph of this particular aircraft, and/or documents related to this installation.

I think I may have, I know that I have a press photo of a Mustang lll with the A&AEE but not sure if it’s this one, I’ll have a look when I get home this evening.
