Got this one by dashing out from sheltering behind a parked car just as the rain started bucketing down. In the rush I thought that I had clipped off the end of the fin but to my relief it was all there – just

In view of some of the comments about the light level all of my other pix came out looking as if they had been taken in the dark. This one was taken at 1/200 sec at F5.6 with ISO 400 and came out about one stop underexposed. This was the only picture I got of the a/c occupying a large area of the frame. I use a Canon 400D and am beginning to wonder if there is something about the exposure that doesn’t like a fairly uniform grey sky. I had similar problems last year at the Moscow airshow where the light levels were higher but the sky was grey. Anyone had similar problems or is it just me?.
Could I also take this opportunity to thank the man from Shoreham who offered me shelter in his car just after I took the shot. I was a few hundred yards from shelter and would have been drenched if he had not helped.

It looks much brighter than my Mustang pics. I will have to work hard to get some light in it.

and did that rain ever come down!…such a shame the guys at Old Warden had to rush around getting these immaculate machines back in their hangers. Was a great show though, shame no Dak and my pics of the P51s look like they were taken at night it was so dark!
