Mustang painting

A friend bought a water colour painting of a mustang and would like to know its history?

Mustang marked as FF-497 was a warbird owned and based in Georgia in the 80’s I believe. Seem to recall seeing pictures of it at some time. The FF- markings I’m not sure of their heritage but are those carried post war by the ANG, making it an F-51D of the Korea era.
