Mustang question

I saw this Mustang at the Lakenheath Open Day in 1986, but don’t know anything about it. It’s the only one I’ve ever seen in RAF markings. Can anyone shed any light on the owner, regn no, current guise etc please??

TIA

Looks like Spitfire XVI RW382 in the background too.

I liked that scheme, shame it was so short lived.

Ant, your wish is my command. This must be the Mustang you’re all thinking of, so Black Knight is right. Sadly, I omitted to note where or when on the back, but I think it’s North Weald.

Am I right in thinking Dave Gilmour’s Mustang flew in a 19Sqn scheme for a time in the late 80’s or early 90’s??

It is the OFMCs G-HAEC, now with Rob Davies as “Big Beautiful Doll”
