“The first Mustang X was originally fitted with a standard Rotol (Rolls-Bristol) four-bladed propeller, as used by the Spitfire IX. This was later upgraded to a custom-built propeller, though it proved to have little influence on performance.”
So who built the prop ???
Thanks in advance.:)

Thank you all.
Its a shame that one of these Mustangs wasn’t preserved.

Nice photo!
It would appear that the Rotol Mustang X (Merlin 61) prop was the R15/4F5/7 using RA10102 blades. The following Rotol blades were also produced for the Mustang RA10124, RA10304 & RA10305.

Presumably Hamilton Standard, Duggy.
It will have been a new design as it would have utilised the D-shank blades whereas just about everything else (excepting Rotol-equipped) Merlin powered at the time used the 23E50/23EX props with the (larger) E-shank.
Probably utilised to save weight and minimise drag/frontal area.
Aeroproducts props came in later, I think, as an alternative to H-S in case of shortages.
