So lets agree to a groundrule then:

The person starting a topic can post what they like, but respondents should only post either tiny pics or else post a link instead.

For the record, I just got a new computer and am on broadband now, so yes, it flies. However, prior to that, I was using my brother’s computer (very slow) with dial up (slower yet). And yes, it would take a few seconds, as kev mentioned, to open up some of those threads with a few pics on them. I never once thought, “geez, this sucks, we should post fewer pics.” I just dealt with it. Can we not alter the way we post threads/pics, please? I’m telling you this much, because I got a new computer and as soon as I get some updated software for my 4 year old scanner, I’m going to be posting my own pics like nuts!

i didnt say to not make threads like this, i said to put a few less pics in them. or you could resize the photo that your going to sue.

it’s just considerate to other people who are not using broadband. we like to read the threads and see the pics but i dont want to sit here for 3 or 4 minutes for it to open as it d/l ex amount of pic. or post a link to the pic if its on airliners.net if there are lots of pics in the thread.

Congratulations on your century. Not exactly anything new for an Australian though is it? :p

Guys, don’t understand the problem re pictures. I’m on a dial-up connection and even a page of pictures as in some other threads still opens in 10 to 20 seconds. Personally, I don’t think broadband would be of that much benefit to me. I can do other things with the £15 a month price difference.

Regards,

kev35

I’m not really an australian, although i have lived here for most of my life,i am a geordie i was born in newcastle.

I’m not too bad either on a dial up connection – about the same times as kev.

By the way, that is a cracking pic of the plane in the “Siemens” livery. Love it!
