Well got a summer holiday booked for next year in August. Going to Cala D’or in Majorca with First Choice Holidays, which there fore means I will be Travelling with Air 2000.
Can anyone tell me what they are like to fly with, service etc.?
Many thanks. 🙂

Thanks for the reviews Guys, it helps.
Am I right in thinking that some AMM planes now have leather seats?
FP I will be flying from Gatwick.

Future Pilot – there is a very common misperception that a firm landing is a bad landing and a smooth landing is a good landing. “Land at the right point, at the right speed, a smooth landing is a bonus” (or words to that effect) I recall being told when converting onto jets.
I am told there exists a CVR recording of an aircraft running off the runway (because the pilot floated attempting a smooth landing), with passenger applause for the landing in the background!
As for Crete (Heraklion anyway), no ILS, just a non-precision approach with a rather strange visual aspect (threshold for 27 stands on top of a cliff!)

Hi A330;
I’ve flew on AMM’s A320s and B757s. IMO, they give Britannia a run for their money, and actually outperform them in some areas. Aircraft always clean and tidy, cabin crew excellent. Of late, I’ve found some Britannia crew rude and the interior of at least one of their 757’s shabby.
For me, Air 2000 are the UK’s number one charter with BY a very close second.

If I found myself outside the aircraft that last thing I’d be thinking is “it’s a bit nippy” ! 😀

If it was -69 inside the aircraft, why didnt you ask the pilot to shut the windows?
By: LBARULES - 21st September 2003 at 17:18
It might have been -69 outside but I seriously doubt it was inside……

if uve got a night flight take sumthink warm as on the flight back from tunisia there were 5 blankets for 230+ people
and it was -69 outside

I’ve flew with them twice to Spain and Crete in a B757 in the old livery.
I wouldn’t say there was anything special about them, when i went with them they were the oldest cabin crew i’ve ever seen, service is alright aswell. Thats about it nothing very good or very bad about them.
Except when on the flight to Crete i went into cockpit and met the pilots and they explained that the co-pilot was going to be doing the landing, he didn’t say whether it was with the ILS or whether it was a manual landing but it was one of the worst landings ever.
On the flight hom it was a very soft landing and the whole cabin cheered.
Hope this helps in any way!:D
Where are you flying from, i flew from MAN to Spain and BHX to Crete.
