posting ebay items
I have an account with TNT, that way I can send all sorts of bulky, odd shaped items all over the UK. They can track the item and the best bit is that I regard the signed for accepting the delivery part as proof of arrival which stops the scammers claiming non delivery.
The cost is resonable for door to door service.

Hi Cessna, also a volunteer im frim Midland Air Museum. Sure one of your guys was down with us a few weeks ago.
Anything V bomber does seem to fetch a premium. But I agree with the serial on the item it is a very nice peice. Was tempted myself but thinking about it wouldnt be able to pick it up at the minute and then what to do with it if I did get it.

Nice piece there. Since the item for sale includes the aircraft serial number it might just fetch the asking price though IMHO the need to collect in person will deter all but the most serious collector. Earlier this year I advertised a Vulcan brake unit from XJ823 on e-bay on behalf of Solway Aviation Museum where I am an active volunteer, at starting bids of £10 or buy it now for £20. There was a lot of interest generated by the listing but in the event the item went unsold because of its weight and the need for the buyer to collect.
