This is my first post here, but my photos are strewn over a number of other sites. Duxford was a fantastic show, with a good varied display.
Anyway, here is a photographic review of the day:
The Lineup:

The Patrouille De France opened up the show with a reasonable close formation aerobatics display. It proved for some nice pictues, but was nothing out of the ordinary.

Closely following the Patrouille was the departure of Sally B and her ‘little friends’. This was a particular highlight for me as after Sally B lifting off, the clouds broke to light the airfield perfectly, and the mustangs roared down the field. Because of their alignment, none could move from their position, giving th beautiful Princess Elizabeth no choice but to fly straight over the heads of myself and a number of people around me. It also gave a fantastic head on shot oppourtunity.

Sally B performed her usual display, opening the stage for the Mustangs. Ferocious Frankie tore it down the field a number of times very quickly and very low.

Twilight Tear and the Princess provided top cover whilst performing a tight formation rolling display.

This cleared the skies for the mighty Chinook, closely followed by the T-28 Fenneck. It was nice to see the T-28 fly again as the last time I saw it was at Elvington in 2004.

The F-15 pair which are renoun for being too high and too far away lived up to their reputation with their fly-by, which was still impressive with the aferburner break on the second run rattling everybodies chest cavity.

Next up was the traditional banner tow. I refuse to put up an image of the banner though.

The skies were cleared for a Belgian F-16 to tear through and complete a very noisy but stunning display of its agility. To end this display the Aircraft Restoration Company Spitfire accompanied the F-16 for a series of fly-pasts before doing its own short display.

As soon as the Spitfire had touched down a plume of smoke extended toward the M11 from the Fouga Magister which is known for its smokey low takeoff. This put on a very fine display, with it being the pilots final display flight.

This was followed by the Black Cats, which are always welcome, but becoming a little old now.

This made way to Stephen Grey in the Bearcat, which was a nice fast display made so much detter by the lighting and cloud formations. Stunning.

This then gave way to the finale, firstly a solo hurricane display by Charlie Brown, and then an 8 ship Spitfire display. The Spitfires flew by in full formation before two broke off (which later performed a duo) and the rest tail chased around the airfield. The duo then performed high barrel rolls, paving the way for a solo display by EP120. This was superb and brought the day to an end in the best way possible.

I hope you enjoyed the mini review and pictures. It was a great day out and ended the season perfectly. I cannot wait til next year, and a anxious to see what ne warbirds will be on the scene.
