Hi, I’m Michael. I joined this site recently and decided to put up a Trip Report.
Well a part of one which took me form DUB-LHR (bmi) LHR-IAD (UAL) IAD-MYR (UALX/MESA)
Date: April 2nd 2007
Route: DUB-LHR
Airline: bmi
Flight: BD120
Regisration:G-MIDO
Seat: 15F
Plane: Airbus A320-232
Load: Approx. 60%
Time: 1:10Hours.
Delay:25 mins.
Well my and my dad and met up at the airport to go. We checked in quickly and efficiently. We went to the gate and I got this pic before boarding was called.
We were delayed due to congestion, and we left at around 7am.

We passed Gulf Air form Bahrain A330-200, I think it was A40-KE?

We departed from Runway 28 with a very powerful take off roll, and headed to London

The cabin was very clean, except the area around the windows were a bit stained. I’m guessing coffee . The F/As were great. All Irish and friendly, courteous and young. We were well informed of out details along the way by our captain. Legroom was great, but I believe G-MIDO is the Moscow based plane, with the extra room?
We landed on 9L and taxied to gate 182. I got these shots while going to my next flight, in gate 313, UA 919 to IAD. (TR Coming soon)
Sone 747s at T3
My ride to IAD, N778UA
Comments welcome as this is my first time.

Thanks
While in Heathrow, (I meant to say this earlier) I saw a sign for bmi’s new LHR-DME, With a little more legroom, I recently looked this up and on wikipedia, it said:
In late 2006 BMI launched a scheduled service to Moscow Domodedevo in co-operation with Transaero on 29 October 2006 with a dedicated A320 (G-MIDO) with special seating for the service, including leather seats and a 40″ seat pitch.
Just luck I guess.

I think what Michael means is that this aircraft has a non-standard, low density config as it operates the LHR DME route, which means that when it operates other routes passengers get the benefit of extra space.
