My gawd, what is this?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-11-02 AT 09:52 PM (GMT)]This has got to be the worst c/s I have ever seen! Hapag Lloyd Express has landed! 🙁

RE: My gawd, what is this?

i just thought it was a refreshing change from the usual blandness of many airlines c/s!

RE: My gawd, what is this?

Yes the VW Polo was very similar. I always thought the DAT scheme was rather different and therefore innovative.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-11-02 AT 05:23 PM (GMT)]Didn’t Volkswagen once release a car, I think it was a Polo, and every panel was a different colour? Very reminiscent of the DAT scheme really. If I remember right it was called a Harlequin. Anyway, I liked it, so I have to say I like the DAT scheme as well.

RE: My gawd, what is this?

I had to suffer that c/s for a month while Aurigny leased an ATR42 for a month!

I’m sure I saw that “lego” plane in the window of the Early Learning Centre the other day (lol)

Looks a bit like the colours of that SkyBus malarkey that was on here the other day. Looks good all the same although it does kind of make me think that the AA have taken to the skies !

Skog,

Is this the livery you are talking about? I still think it’s better than the Hapag Lloyd Express c/s.

RE: My gawd, what is this?

I think this c/s is brilliant. Just like the world famous checkered cabs, it tells you exactly what this airline does. Get you from one place to another, simply. Just like at taxi.

Talking about ugly, does anyone remember Danish Air Transport?

I cant find a pic of it at airliners.net, but it looked like a lego plane.

About prices, in march, i flew with Deuteche BA (Now FlyDBA) from Köln – Bonn to Berlin Tegel for 25€ without taxes, and the flight back for 35€ 🙂 Cheap isn’t it?

RE: My gawd, what is this?

Saab,

Thank you. I was beginning to think there might be something wrong with me because I liked the colour scheme as well. It’s bold, it’s in your face and you’re highly unlikely to mistake it for an aircraft of another airline.

RE: My gawd, what is this?

The colour scheme is good. It is very vibrant and sticks out in the crowd. The font doesn’t do it any justice but I like the impression it gives of a big yellow taxi.

The airline itself should be a success. The German low cost market is still crying out for low cost carriers. This year the have been a huge burst in the number of low cost carriers in Germany and the people are loving it after having a very traditional market for years.

The area Cologne/Bonn is situated is also another good thing. The Belgian and the Netherlands boarder are not far from the airport and also a large number of the German population live in North Rhine-Westphalia (17 million I think) so there is a lot of potential. Virgin Express was thinking of setting up base there.

lol looks like a crash test dummy for sure.

But it reminds me a TAXI. Flying becomes more and more like taking a bus or a TAxi !!!!

er, Bonn, not Berne… you had me excited for a minute there…

and it’s the same Airport (Cologne/Bonn, that is… bit like Leeds/Bradford in that it’s between the two cities)

That jagged black line makes it look like a crash test dummy!
