Dear all,
For my Gliding Club (the Gelderse Zweefvliegclub at Terlet Netherlands) the flying saison is over. It’s now winterstop for annual maintenance. I would like to show you a couple of pictures that I took at Terlet this year. I hope you like them.

Thanks. The “downward winglets” are no real winglets. Maybe they help to reduce induced drag a little bit. Their main task is to keep the wing surface off the ground in order to prevent scratches on the lower side of the wing.

Very nice pictures.
I notice some Gliders have winglets, but downward facing ones. What is the aerodynamic reason for downward winglets on a glider but upwards on propelled A/c?
