My Grandfather – aviation enthusiast and wealth of knowledge

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone here can remember my Grandfather from the aviation world?
He’s called William Hamilton and worked for Shorts in Wig Bay – Loch Ryan 1951-1957, then the West Freugh from 1957-1978 and finally Farnborough in 1978-1994.

I hear all the interesting stories from his past and see many pictures that he’s accumulated over the years.
His knowledge on aviation is absolutely amazing….. particularly on flying boats, lincolns, Canberras, comets, Devons and many more I forget about.

He loves to talk about his experience and I wish I could document everything as, when that knowledge is gone, it’s gone.

ITV done a small interview and hardly scratched the surface

It can be seen here

Be interesting to know if anyone who worked with him is still around as I’m sure he’d love to get in touch and if anyone wants to find out more about his experiences, he would be more than happy to talk about them.
Just wish I could get a proper documentary about this wonderful man and his amazing experiences.
