A few years ago I acquired some of my grandfather’s old drawings (most done in the 50s), as some of you may know I have posted some of my own design drawings on The Modern Military page.
I quote my grandfather, “I must have drawn this about 1954. It was meant to be a ground attack aircraft.“ I believe this to be a brilliantly designed and drawn ‘English Electric Thunderbolt’. Any of your comments I am sure will be much appreciated by my grandfather. Thanks very much! 🙂

Interesting, TSR2 wasn’t thought of until 1956 (because of the need to replace the Canberra) and I agree it does like very similar to the SR53. 😎 I believe the starfighter first flew in 1954 :confused:

Front view is reminicent of a Starfighter. I wonder if the date is slightly later than thought.
