These are just the first of many Images I took at the Australian International Airshow at Avalon. I spent 5 days there (2 trade days and 3 public days), and took over 10000 images… (45GB worth…)
Many more of these to come. I will post them up on my Photobucket site. Email me for a password if you think you deserve a look… chrisgee@ihug.co.nz
All Images shot using Nikon D200 with 80-400mm VR or 18-200 VR
What a roller coaster ride of a week… Heat waves, Dust Storms, Rain, Sun, Wind… but worth every minute.

Jim Leroy cuts perofrms The Ribbon Cut… Notice that he is sideways, using his fuselage as a lift surface, flying under the ribbon, and cutting it with his upper wing. What a looney…

This was bizarre… As I left the airfield on the thursday evening in the bus, we saw this caribou going full speed across the paddack, kicking up lost of dust… We could see where he was going, but it was quite funny to see.

Great shots!
The only critique is that some of the shots could be cropped a bit tighter. For instace the little bi-plane is lost in the shot and the two helicopters are to far over to the right. Squareing up the shot just makes it a bit easier on the eye and more impressive. Just think what a shot the F-15 taking off will be without the forground.
Also the bird shot is to dark (is it a Kite?)
Hope this helps
