This is as close as I get to them at the moment!

Pathetic I know but i think our local airport is off limits to the public.

I’m from holland and see a lot of those birds come over all the time. It’s a Boeing 737-400 for sure!

Is the second one a Korean A330?
Over Durham? To be honest, I doubt that very much. Firstly, pretty much the only place it could be flying (at cruise) over Durham to get to is Dublin. A quick check on their website shows they don’t fly there. Secondly, the A330 would be well out of range for an operation like that all the way from Korea. Airbus provided the A340 for longer routes like this.
Unless its a very rare flight (charter or flight tests from TLS maybe) then I think it is extremely unlikely to be Korean. Air canada is more probable although I’m not really seeing it myself.

I didn’t say I was right 😉
Looks Korean to me as well.

Hey if we are talking poor airliner shots then here’s my offering… taken at Stansted in April this year. In my defence it was the first time i had seen an IL-62 and had to capture it with what i had very quickly.!

Where were these taken? and which is your off limits local airport?
Andrew
Sorry missed this bit of your post.
The shots were taken from my back garden in Darlington. My airport is Durham Tees Valley Airport(what a mouthful!)
See my query post in General Aviation.

How you can even begin to think about IDing these from such tiny pics is beyond me! You lot must really know your jet liners!(they all look the same to me!)

I’m thinkin the second might be Air Canada… and the first maybe a United 777?
