A very enjoyable day out in wall to wall sunshine with a bit of a breeze keeping the temperature down but stopping the ‘Edwardians’ from coming out to play. Some excellent flying in the blustery conditions.
Having spent the last airshow I attended at Old Warden at about the mid runway point, for take off and landing photos, I plonked my self near the tower this time for some gratuitous topside shots.

Some very nice images there, Mr. PP, although your comment about gratuitous topside shots had me leering (for all the politically incorrect reasons) for about a nano-second. As you were positioned near the control tower you obviously wasn’t the guy near the Air Atlantique Dragon Rapide who was sporting the most enormous piece of equipment I have seen in 40 years of SLR photography. Damn thing was so big he had to use a swivelling mount to rest it on. It brought on a severe case of lens envy, and I shudder to think what it cost.
Thank you for your comments 91Regal and I saw him as well and I thought it was a telescope at first judging by that bracket that held the lens.
I wonder if he had planning permission to set it up:D
