Hello,
Currently involved with restoring a Mystere jet fighters main wheels. These are heavily corroded and may be beyond repair.
Just thought I would post on here so see if any members know of any spares or contacts to see whether we can find a replacement for these wheels.
I know these aircraft were popular additions to collections and somebody may have had a similar problem and know of a solution or at least a contact to try.

Yes we know of the one at Andrewsfields and certainly no harm in asking, whether its them or indeed the USAF!
My only concern is the aircraft has been outside like ours for a similar time so the undercarraige maybe the same, if not worse.

As that is a USAF Museum loan airframe I doubt the guys at Andrewsfield would be in a position to authorise the removal of parts?

Andrewsfield aerodrome ( great sailing, Essex ) have a complete a/c on blocks.
I am not sure who runs the club anymore, but the plane has been there years. I am sure if you ask nicely….
