Dear all,
Whilst pottering around the old RAF Warboys site recently, I came across a mysterious piece of old metal. It is approx 3ft long, exceedingly light, curved, flush riveted and has traces of black paint. It has a small number of larger holes (for fasteners?) and is not rusty in anyway. It also has the following numbers:
4 (then a small circular stamp bearing, amongst other marks, the letters ‘VS’) 5924H2 B239
A piece of Massey Ferguson’s finest or my first bit of Lancaster?
Cheers

The small circular stamp certainly looks like an inspectors stamp, but as for the rest……who knows?
I will try to get a pic or two on here in the next few day.
Cheers
