Mystery 1940s British Instrument panel

Hi I have this Tacho oil pressure panel I picked up forty years ago.

I have no idea what it is out of . Any one have any idea. I have eliminated the obvious twins, Beaufort Beaufighter and so on.

Question answered

after much digging around…Its a Beaufighter Tacho Panel from an early Beau. Ultra Rare I have never seen one before and none seem to exist in aircraft on display. My first post here hence it is in the wrong place…if someone can move it to its rightful home that would be great.

It is possible – just needs a mod to actually see it.

But the mods cannot be everywhere, do not see everything, and, for some reason, do not yet have the ability to know the unknown.

Gauge part number 6A/1299 are fairly standard piston engine RPM gauges Kenneth.
If the panel is aircraft related – it is an unusual layout which perhaps suggests a cramped cockpit !Normal design would be to have the gauges mounted laterally on the inst panel with positioning to match its relevant engine (clear and natural readout).
I have looked at some cockpit photos – concentrating on narrow sharp end aircraft but have not found a match so far.

Is it possible for a moderator to move this thread to historic please ? I am sure it will get more views there.

With that RPM range it’s not from an aircraft with piston engines…

Should really be on Historic Gina.
The first question you will be asked (unless anybody recognises it straight away) is any visible Part numbers ,I can see some numbers but not very clearly.
Perhaps Bruce or another moderator could move this to Historic ?
