Mystery American aircraft wheel

Thanks to everyone who helped. Its origins seem to be northern UK. I just wonder if it originated from one of the Scottish Martlet/Wildcat mountain wrecks, as it came with a lot of high ground wreck parts although I seem to remember being told this particular wheel came from a scrapyard. How about Martlet? Would be fitting if it was found in the UK.

Thanks J Boyle. It looks like the date is 4 6 43 on the outer rim. The Bendix part number for the wheel seems to be 57358. There is a further number on the rim which is an assembly no and is 57345.

I just googled the 57358 number and it comes back as F4F Wildcat. Can anyone confirm that please?

Bendix made brakes and wheels for many types.
It might be a nose wheel, but not from a Beech…since none of their ac had nose wheels until postwar.
It’s not Twin Beech (Model 18) main wheel.

Any dates on the tyre?
Any part numbers on the wheel?
