Dear all,
recently received at the Museum – but not sure of origin…clearly a four engined piston type…I’m thinking DC4/6 what say you experten….? All help appreciated!

Virtually certain DB. We thought they were Dak before we saw em and would have fitted into our 315th TCG display!

I will take a guess that it came from one of the Ace Freighters Connie’s that ended their days at Coventry.

You might want to be seated for my guess, but I’m thinking early Constellation variant!
I’m guessing the odd two guage for four readings layout is that the engineer would have the primary info on his panel.

Twin RPM’s and twin MAP’s suggest a twin-engined type.
Definitely airliner. Looks too modern for DC-3, perhaps Convair 440 type?
