It is Ju88 – from one of those recently recovered.

Mystery wreck

Yes, Ju.88 wing – upside down.
That’s the compression strut engine mounting that would have met the underside of the horizontal, mag-alloy (Elektron) engine bearer along the side of the (probably) Jumo211 engine.
Also, it’s got to be upside down ‘cos the upper side camo is facing the floor.

Supposing it was half the size you think it is and that is an engine pod with the firewall sprouting engine mount structure…and possibly up side down. 🙂

Mark

I favour a Ju88 port wing

Mystery wreck

Almost certainly Ju.88 wing upside down. Could be one of the ditched recovered examples as the nacelle underside would have been damaged in a crash landing on terra firma.
I’m thinking also that I can make out the (retracted) dive brakes at the quarter chord position?

Dornier 17/215 ?

Look at a side view of a Dorneir 17/215 – we know the fusalage is narrow, but there is a small window below the wing root.

where was it taken?

then again, that would leave a big light on the trailing edge of the wing…… muppet….

He. 1-11?
Nah scrub that – not thick enough wing.

Could that bluge in the firewall be for the undercarriage?

Hmmm. Not sure its upside down actually.

Ju88 maybe?

Interesting looking rotary wing job on the mezzanine floor behind, but it’s not a Ju88.

No idea. It was a wreck just sitting there.

Doubt it’s a Barracuda.

JU88 more likely?
