RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
i wish DC-10s flew from GLA a lot and one was based in GLA.pity my flight seems to be an A320.The Dc-10 could be a possible back up though couldn’t it if there is a tech prob.the 763 is supposed to be based in GLA and Flying to Reus on the thursday.I thought both flights would have been 752(the FUE and REU) i prefer the A320 to the 752 but i prefer all MYT’s other aircraf to the 752 and A320.

RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
A320 C-FTDF was based at Leeds last summer. I’ve got a pic of it sumwhere. see if i can dig it out. However, the colourscheme changes from year to year. last year we had the skyservice colours on one side of the tail and the Airtours colours on the other side. The titlings were AIH but the usual blue AIH line was red. The year before it was all skyservice colours with AIH titlings. The a/c at Leeds this year apparently is all skyservice colours (unsure on the titling). oooooohhhh ahhhh….thought i’d blurt all that out!

RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
has anyone got a picture of the current based A320 in Glasgow C-FTDF.it is a Skyservice/Mytravel A320.1 of The NCL A320 has been tech recently a lot i’ve been told and Air plus comet operated a flight for them with an A310.hope this happens in GLA and a MYT DC-10 is called up.That would rule.

RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
it’s not about the distance but the popularity of the fligh5ts – it is probably that Reus is more popular than FUE. if the 763 does only 1 flight a week it IS NOT BASED – it is a W pattern flight i.e. it might b based at Manchester for example, fly out to Reus, return to Glasgow, fly bak out to Reus the back to Manchester.

RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
i’ve just found out there is based 763 MYT in GLA this summer.i thin it does Reus flights though. Can anyone shed some info? why is an A320 going to FUE when a 763 is going to REUS.i would of thought the other way around.

Softlad…are the NCL a/c ‘sky service’ this year? Last year was just the one main-airline A320 G-RDVE. (G-SUEE popped up now and again)

The best thing for knowing all this is the airport timetables book. This is usually very good, last I heard it was due out at the end of May.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-05-02 AT 09:27Â PM (GMT)]i’ve also been told by people there sure it is an A321.I’d be happy with an A321,the aircraft i’m desperate to go on but 99% sure i won’t is the DC-10.i was told the skyservice A320s are in NCL.thanks for your help. i can’t find out the aircraft type in the back of the book aswell.the DC-10 will be a backup aircraft hopefully.thanks again

They only change the aircraft in exceptional circumstances though don’t they? But I know what you mean… I was expecting Airtours A330 and ended up on a 767 for my return flight and I was incredibly disappointed!

T5,the trouble with the holiday brochures is that they are not always correct if you are going charter. When I went to Tunisia our flight to Monastir was said to be an AIH 757 but was actually a BD A321 so even though it may say that in the book it could be a totally different aircraft or airline.

RE: MYT955,MYT 956 GLA to FUE
If you get hold of an Airtours/MyTravel holiday brochure and take a look in the back, it usually tells you all the information such as time of flights, arrival time, departure time etc. I’m fairly sure it says what aircraft you’d be on.
But Softlad seems pretty sure it’s a SkyService A320, so looks like thats what it is!

99% you will be on a Skyservice A320 as thats what we have based in GLA for the summer.
