Do MyTravel serve meals anymore?
I’ve just booked flights to Lanzarote with them, do you think I’ll get anything onboard the aircraft?
I seem to remember a few of the charters were scrapping the meals and I think MyTravel were one of them, or have I got that wrong?

From 1st November although you will still see the aircraft in MYT livery for some time yet probably even up to next summer.

It was definately a considerable improvement on previous efforts. They seem to be the most punctual at LGW at the moment, but i suppose they only have 1 or 2 aircraft based here normally.

MyTravel had a great Summer last year operating some 77.5% of flights on-time – the highest of any UK charter airline and the 5th best of all UK airlines.
The Summer 2006 target is to increase this to 85% and reduce the average delay to under 20 minutes.

I recall towards the end of last summer they were operating some flights 30-60mins early!

Hi,
So what’s the plan with G-WJAN. Hope to fly with MYT again soon they are excellent. Take it MYT abandoned the plan of ditching 767s, but does that still leave G-WJAN out in the cold ???
The B767s and G-WJAN are staying and it seems the B757 may be joined by a newer brother next year.
NB
Olbia is not in Sicily as per my above post and Sicily is current destination where I stated it will be a new arrival point. 😀 The other new destination alongside Sanya, China is to be Olbia, Costa Smeralda/Alghero, Sardinia.

When will MYT operate flight only one way fares etc like TCX,FCA,XLA,and TOM do ?
At the launch of the new website ?
It is coming… They are planning to use the MyTravelLite brand to sell their seat only’s. (well that was the original plan, it may have changed). If you look at MyTravelLite.com now there is a holding page that says “MytravelLite is changing” with more destinations, more UK departures launching Spring 2006, so I gues it will be in May along with the rest of the changes.

Hi,
I believe the new website’s flight only system may be Navitaire but if not, I am almost certain it is to incorporate a one-way option.
hope VZ have a good summer. They have just extended their handling contract with Servisair at most UK airports

Hi,
Both B767s are to remain in the fleet until at least Winter 2007/2008 as these aircraft will be operating the Sanya, China route. The aircraft are currently being fitted with Premiair Gold Cabins and along with the A330-200s, Seat Pitch in economy will be increased to 31″ with leather seats for Winter 2006/2007 and Summer 2007.
Also on the Long Haul front, Summer 2006 will see enhanced meal services with the second service being upgraded to a Hot Breakfast or Pizza Snack as appropriate to the time of day rather then just serving sandwiches as offered by other airlines. Meals for Summer 2006 have also been upgraded for Premiair Gold and a Kids option is now available.
Meanwhile, 5 Airbus A320/A321s have been fitted with leather seats and new seat foams ready for Summer 2006 with a progressive roll-out to the entire fleet thereafter.
On the ground, Self Service check-in is currently in trials at Manchester and East Midlands ready for roll-out to all MyTravel Airways departure points. Day before and 24 hour check-in is now available at Gatwick as well as Manchester and Glasgow and off airport and ‘drive thru’ check-in has now been implemented at Sanford.
The first two new destinations named for Summer 2007 so far are Sanya, Hainan Island, China (as above) and Olbia, Sicily.
Furthermore, MyTravel Aircraft Engineering facility at Manchester has now become a wholly owned subsidiary of MyTravel Group PLC.
Finally, Look out for a new MyTravel Airways website launch in May alongside the re-launch and redesign of MyTravel.com and all MyTravel Group company sites.
Hope this answers a few questions!

My Travel is not the best charter airline at the moment (LONG DELAYS!!)
Quite the opposite actually! MyTravel’s punctuality has been greatly improved. These last few months, the majority of flights are arriving 20, 30, 40 minutes and up to an hour early. No big delays these past few weeks.
Thanks
MyTravel UK
That is true My Travel are doing much better now then they where when they had money problems.
