The 3 ex-MyTravel DC-10s, G-DPSP, G-TAOS, and G-TDTW stored at Kemble have been transferred to the Swaziland register. Does anyone know what this means for them? Will they be going into service in Africa now?

I was at Kemble late August and was told that they had been sold to a new operator.

As far as i remember aircraft have to be under 20 years old to operate on the hadj flights. If that’s right then that rules out the DC10-10’s. Must have another use in mind ?

Hadj season is on its way – this sounds perhaps the most obvious explanation for the short term.

And I thought these were going to be scrapped.
Good news if they survive. 🙂
