MyTravel Lite releases seats for Summer 2005!! including new Ibiza route

MyTravel Lite have released seats for the Summer 2005 season (1st May – 31st October 2005)

Today’s release is part of a continued momentum by the airline to meet its’ customers demands for the chance to book early for next year. With 7 routes to the sun now on sale, the airline remains the Midlands most comprehensive operator to the Mediterranean, offering more choice than any other carrier. It is also the first low fares airline in the country to be offering its customers seats for next summer.

Julian Carr, Head of Marketing Development said “We are committed to providing the best quality service to our customers, and with all our recent initiatives our passengers will experience not only the best service, but also the best choice in routes. We have the most comprehensive range of flights to sunshine destinations from the Midlands, and by releasing our summer 2005 seats now our customers can book next years flights earlier than ever before! We have also increased our services to Almeria next year due to the huge success of the route. Last week we launched our new route to Ibiza – Next week we may have another surprise too!”

Timetable for next Summer from Birmingham

Alicante – Twice Daily
Almeria – 4x weekly
Barcelona – Daily
Faro – 5x weekly
Ibiza – 3x weekly (New Route)
Malaga – Twice Daily
Palma – Daily

Seats for Murcia have not been released yet (thats if they will still fly the route). I wonder what this new surprise will be – another Spanish destination – Valencia perhaps?

Dublin wont be served as it isn’t even part of the Winter 2004/05 programme. Not sure about Knock – maybe leave it to bmibaby so MYT Lite can concentrate on Spanish/Portuguese destinations?

I’m surprised seats are being released so early – especially for MyTravel Lite!! I would have thought the airline would be closing down after the coming winter period.

I would’ve thought that now baby are there they would concentrate more on the buissness and “unusual routes”;Paris, Nantes, Toulouse, Lyon, Clermont Ferrand, Venice, Pisa, Rome, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin. When I say unusual I mean the routes that baby don’t seem to do and tend to be served by the likes of Ryanair. I think expansion into the buissness market is their only chance of survival.

Surprised they are even continuing into next summer. Seems like theyve knocked the business routes on the head, all leisure.

Will be interesting to see how the compete with Baby next summer…
