Looks like the AIM-120 is going to be known by an acronym all its life. What would be a suitable name for this missile? TAC actually had a “name the missile” contest back in the mid 1980’s but evidently nothing came of it. How about Bushwacker? Or Broadsword? Or Hellbat? The possibilities are endless…
