Named c type flying helmet

Hi just purchased this c type and H-type from a military surplus shop hidden away on a top shelf and was amazed to find it the mask is dated 1-45 which is nice as usually they are later dated ones floating about.The guy said who i got it from he bought it from an elderly gent many years ago and it has sat about doing nothing.I know its a long shot guys but can anyone dig up any information about the owner please:) i have his name and number Spiers.R 3032953

Yes Htype was first introduced in 1944
