National Museum Of Flight,Scotland….

hi,
wanted to visit the above for awhile now, but put off by the journey from the Stoke area, 6 hrs either way,so I girdled my loins and made the effort on Sat. had 3hours there and I really enjoyed it. There,s 4 hangars- restoration, civil with a central aisle so good photography, 1 Jet age dominated by Concorde, and lastly military where you meander round the a/c so you have to work on the photography The Bolingbroke although not yet complete looks good, also the Beaufighter, fuselage section looked worked upon, wings, etc as yet untouched, but with only A19-144 at Duxford, if and when its progressed will be a welcomed addition. Also the civil registered Meteor looked good but strange (G-ARCX),Anson VM360 being worked on as is the DH.Dragon 1 or at least the engine cover was off! and lastly most of the other buildings had a description notice on telling what they were, and used for which added to the visit.
Well worth a visit…

regards
jack…
