MADISON, WI (AheadOfNews.com) – The National Society of People Not In A Big Hurry (NSOPNIABH) has postponed its planned day of procrastination, moving it from November 4th to November 15th.
“It was scheduled for a Monday,” says Nancy Harbinger, president of the society, “which we didn’t really think about when we first planned things. If you’re going to have a day that celebrates putting things off, it seems like Friday is a much better choice.”
Not everyone agrees, however. “That’s a totally work-centric viewpoint,” says Tim Weserly, a high school student. “Almost everyone I know puts off their homework until Sunday night, and then they stay up late trying to get it all done, and are totally wiped out on Monday. And with Thanksgiving coming up, we’ll be putting things off for an extra couple of days. It should be the Sunday after Thanksgiving!”
Ms. Harbinger says that they are open to comments and feedback, but that the November 15th date remains the official date, “at least for now”.
