NATO

i know that Nato was formed to protect europe from the Soviets but with them gone, doesn’t it seem pointless for NATO to still be around bombing countries on behalf of small terrorist groups like the KLA. i think that the Europeans should take care of their own business with the Euro corps. and why is the U.S fighting the idea so much is it that there worried that they will lose their regional power if the Euro corps comes into being, does anyone have any ideas on this subject.
