NATO's lack of SEAD

Hello,

A couple of questions,

1. Why is there a gap in the NATO (incl. US) SEAD role? Obviously there is the Tornado ECR and the EA-6B Prowler, but what else? Surely it is unwise for the UK not continue the Tornado EF.3 type?

2. Why wasn’t the ‘improved’ wing of the AV-8B used on the SeaHarrier FA.2?

Just one point, on a distant thread someone mentioned that the Falklands was proof that the UK can go to war alone. But am I right in saying the US rushed the UK a supply of AIM-9L AAMs, as the UK didn’t have suffcient qtys?
