Naughty girls blame it on their genes

UNFAITHFUL women now have an entirely new excuse for infidelity – their genes.
A study suggests the likelihood of a woman cheating on a partner may be related to her genetic inheritance from her parents.
A quarter of British women may carry “infidelity genes” that sharply increase the chances of them being unfaithful, says researcher Professor Tim Spector.
A perfect illustration of the theory is Paula Yates, whose own infidelity mirrored that of both her parents.
The late TV presenter began an affair with singer Michael Hutchence in 1995 when she was still married to Bob Geldof.
She later discovered she was not, as previously thought, the daughter of Stars on Sunday host Jess Yates but of his bitter rival Hughie Green.
Her mother, Helene Thornton, had an affair with Opportunity Knocks presenter Green shortly after she married Yates in 1958. Paula was born only 10 months after the marriage, in April 1959.
Professor Spector came up with his theory of the “infidelity gene” after studying the faithfulness of 5000 female twins compared with that of 5000 unrelated women.
