Yeah, I went in there and they were huge! Never realised the airports needed to have so much snow equipment!

I also went round the police helicopter hanger, looked at Starburst 1 (Metro Radio) and looked at The Aviation Academy’s 737.

Do you get to see the baggage area? It’s quite impressive down there too!

Going airside at the airport is something I’ll never forget! 😀

Aye was in there ive been in the 737 before stinks of rabbit food, the “screacher” police helicopter was in pieces when i was there there was a national grid chopper there instead!!

You know the older ones in tha back of the hanger next to the stripped down provost they were used to pen in gill airways when they couldn’t pay there landing fees once.

Yeah, the same happened to me, only we were half way down the runway doing an inspection. It was a Ryanair 738 from Milan. 🙂

Aye it was late easyjet for us, which then meant a 100mph dash to the end of the runway then as we came down the taxi way past the firestation we nearly got crushed by that huge beast of a fire engine off to deal with an oil spill!!

talking of beasts you ever looked in the old Gill Hanger the snow plows in there big as tanks!!

It’s a great feeling isn’t it! Nice shots. 🙂

Just wondering, how were you allowed to use your phone airside? As cabin crew say please don’t use mobile phones until past security?

checked with security before i went through they were fine with it didn’t use it on the a319 i sat in. and i was in the dispatch office they were fine with it too.

About 10 seconds after that runway pic was taken we had to get off the runway sharpish when a 737 called in man that was funy!!
