NCL this afternoon

Went to a busy NCL this afternoon. Some different traffic appeared, with an aerobatic prop, a Lancaster and some Spitfires, and some other vintage looking aircraft flying overhead.
Heres a few from this afternoon.
easyJet 737
Britannia 757
British Airways757
Islandsflug 734
Spanair MD83
Lancaster bomber, I think, with 2 spitfires
Thomas Cook 757
Titan 757

The little Bulldog is owned by Northern Aviation, XX694 is G-CBBS and it’s little brother XX695 is G-CBBT, both are based split between DurhamTeesValley and Newcastle, usually one at each.

They are excellent shots there mate, loving the Ryanair B738! 😀

Too many close-ups for my liking, though.

Better than shots taken with the fence in the way!

Kev,

The RAF has retired all their Bulldogs. They were suceeded by the Grob Tutor.

I think private owners are allowed to keep the old reg. on the Bulldogs – I’ve seen a few private owned Bulldogs at RAF Colerne and they still have the RAF reg. Funny really, as the Tutors have G-B*** regs on them.

Nice pics.
Would have been a 747-300 if Excel hadn’t screwed up and sent the POP flight to frigging Manchester…Bet the pax were furious…an 8 hour flight, followed by a 4 hour coach trip to Newcastle…

Nice pictures.

It is a Scottish Aviation Bulldog. The logo on the tail is, I believe, that of the East Midlands University Air Squadron. I thought all the RAF’s Bulldogs had been retired by now, but this aircraft does not carry a civilian registration that I can see, so perhaps it is still in service.

Wow! Great Shots! Well Done

I think it’s a Bulldog too, no doubt ex RAF. I like the BA 757 and MYT A320!

Nice to see EasyJet’s only named aircraft – Daniel Swaddle (G-EZKE) – Is it based at NCL? I never see it at BRS…

Very nice. Too many close-ups for my liking, though.

Theres always one isnt there

Cant say I can see too many close ups myself, every shot but one has the whole machine in it!

Incidentally, the one close up (The BA 757), is my fave.

Cracking shots Chris, looking better than ever!
