To get to and from T4 at LHR you have to cross an active runway 50% of the time too….

Alert? I think you are a blind if you don’t see a plane taxiing in front of you!
They propably think a plane also has three pedals. Gas, Brake and clutch.:D

What a stupid idea that a plane that has landed has to go across a live runway to reach the terminal bldgs.Thank God the MYT Captain was so alert —what if it had been foggy or cloudy and wet………doesnt bear thinking about.
Any pilots that use Manchester regularly ,what are your thoughts about this?
