Need help about aircraft losses

Friend of mine is working on the book about aircraft losses in the former Yugoslavia since beginning of flying in the area until today. Among losses of civilian/military aircraft with native pilots/crews he also wants to incorporate foreign losses over same area.

For now he had something from following links but need more information than is published there. He is especially interested in Allied (B-17, B-24, Spitfire…) and Axis (Bf109 and other) losses in the area during 2nd WW.

Any help is welcomed

Hello to my friends in UK and down under, its been awhile since I visited.

The past 11 days I had my annual shot in the arm. The Collings B17, B24 and B 25 were at 3 airports in my vcinity. I had a great time at the B17 answering questions and meeting people. However, I paid a price, I got sunburned and still have a very sore lip due to sun poisoning. It’s the price I pay to have a good time.

Bigmal can you add something else on the matter? Can you find anything familiar in this SAAF Beaufighter list?

Aircraft losses over Yugoslavia

I’ve had some contact with a former member of 19 SAAF squadron as well as relatives of former members of the squadron My own father flew with 19 SAAF from August to November 1944. This photo from my late father’s small collection showns the end of a Beaufighter lost over Yugoslavia at that time. I recall my father saying that he lost his flight commander, Major Bob Geere, in October ’44 and something makes me think this may have been him. The second image is a camera shot taken by dad from the nose camera-I know one of the Beaus was lost on this day. Apparently, according to Simon Younger ( another son of a former squadron member) who has seen the squadron record book at Kew, no aircraft serial numbers are mentioned in those records.

I visited all that and also www.armyairforces.com but without results for now.

But I still expect some expert answers here since KeyPublishing forum is forum with 7700 registered members while they all together do not have that body-count.
