Some years ago (1998?-ish) I read a newly-released fiction novel…
it was set in post-war Adelaide and featured a character who made his living from selling WWII surplus Aeroplanes for scrap (can’t remember if he was the central character or not).
It made an impression on me at the time (made me want to visit Adelaide anyway – still on to-do list) and I’d like to read it again but I’ve long since lost the darn thing and can barely remember a thing about it…
Anyone out there know what on earth it’s called?

Thanks for looking Steve – it was a long shot with the sum knowledge of information I provided. Hopefully I’ll come across it in a second-hand store when I least expect it.
