Folks-
Am having difficulty tracking down some N numbers/registration numbers for some local planes here in CO and can’t reach the pilots by phone to get them…so I thought I’d toss it to you knowledgeable lot and see what you can come up with! The planes/pilots are:
Michael Bertz/Jet Provost Denver
John Zayac/Racing T-6 ‘Thumper’ Denver
Wally Gray/220 hp Stearman/Texas
Chris Jacobsen/Embassy Staggerwing/Denver
Richard Bacon/L-39 Albatross/Denver
Pat Wiesner /DHC Beaver/Denver
If you all can put on yoiur collective thinking caps and help me find these N numbers, it would be of GREAT assistance, as it’s going towards an article and they need these numbers and registrations for the list of planes we have out this way…we have already chased down the rest and these are the only ones eluding us…

There is a database of N-registered L-39s on this site: http://www.l39jet.com. According to that list there are three L-39s registered in Colorado: N139TJ, N390ZA and N57XJ.
The Beaver is probably N101CB, registered to Wiesner Publishing Inc.
A database search for Jet Provosts (Click here) gives 15 examples, with the following registered in Colorado: N332RC, N334XW, N373XW and N471XN.
Hope this helps, perhaps with the aircraft you’ve got listed already you can narrow this down!

What about the former Provost XW330…anyone know where that ended up? I think it’s here in CO but not sure…anyone?

Cool…thanks much…that Staggerwing used to fly in England in blue and yellow Embassy colors and is believed to have carried Eisenhower many times….unfortunately Jacobsen stood it up on it’s nose the other day, I hear…
