hey
decided to take advantage of the great weather that we’re having lately to go and snap a few aircraft at EMA. Had to take artic weather gear as by the time we left at about 8:30pm, it was just a *tad* too chilly.
was surprised to see 5U-BAG 737-200 of the Gov. of Niger return to the airport – thought it had left for good back to Niger.

we were surprised to see this push back in the middle of the day – unusual to see active DHL aircraft at NEMA during daylight hours. In fact, it continued to push back all the way to the end of the apron where it spent time running up its engines to full power. Just visible in the photo on the right is what i think is a RR engine under the white sheet.

that shot was taken at about midday, but the same type of photo could have been quite a few times during the day – the aircraft rotating was G-EZAM, the aircraft doing circuits; whilst the aircraft on approach was another easy A319.
I actually saw the ajet 737-800 fly over the airport but i couldnt say at what time.
thanks 🙂
Just found out – saw this on a.net

Its a cargo conversion owned by RAF-Avia, same airline that operates the An-26 out of EMA. I think its based at the airport.
Oh yeah I know them never knew they had Saab 340F in there Fleet

That shot of one aircraft leaving and another landing was it around 2pm yesterday, if so I witnessed it from overhead, we were on a-jet’s b737-800 (their last flight) on approach to Manchester 😉

Great pics there mate Love the first FR. I do belive the 737-200 is sticking around for flight tests before heading home.
