The Dutch and US governments agreed to postpone the deadline until June 12 for signing a memorandum of understanding on Dutch
participation in the development of the Joint Strike Fighter project, the defense ministry said in a statement.
The previous deadline was April 26. While the Dutch cabinet has approved participation in the JSF project development phase, a recent parliamentary vote was hung, leading the government to ask for a delay until after national elections scheduled May 15.
